Healing the gaps success can't fill.

You were the first to graduate. The first to earn six figures. The first to hold it all together while quietly falling apart. On paper everything looks perfect. Inside, something still feels off. And you can't explain it to anyone who wasn't there.

Financial therapy is not budgeting advice. It's not life coaching. It's the work at the intersection of your money and your nervous system. It's identifying the emotional patterns underneath every financial decision you make, and healing them for good.

For the ones who made it and still feel the weight.

You climbed. You built. You broke the ceiling your parents didn't even know existed. And yet, money still feels complicated. Charging feels guilty. Keeping it feels unsafe. Success feels like something you have to earn every single day.

That's not ambition. That's a wound dressed up as drive.

Lacuna exists for first-generation executives and entrepreneurs who are ready to stop managing their trauma and start healing it, financially and emotionally.

Money guilt Undercharging Success anxiety Burnout Self-sabotage Financial avoidance

This is for you if ,

  • You earn well and still feel broke inside
  • You avoid looking at your accounts even when the money is there
  • Charging what you're worth makes you physically uncomfortable
  • You're the financial backbone of your family and nobody knows the weight of that
  • You've built something real and secretly wonder when it all falls apart
  • You want to talk about money and feelings in the same room, without being judged

You don't have to be in crisis to deserve this work. You just have to be ready to stop managing it alone.

Raven-Symone Simon

The work we do together follows a path.

Not a program. Not a package. A real, living process — one step revealing the next.

Step 01

Locate

The Gap

Most people know something is off. They just don't have words for it yet. This is where we find it. The silence around money you've never said out loud. The ache that sits just underneath every financial decision you've made. We don't rush past it. We locate it, name it, and agree to look at it together.

"What is the thing about money you've never told anyone?"

Step 02

Align

With Truth

Here we face both the numbers and the narrative at the same time. Not separately. Together. Because your spreadsheet and your story are not two different things. They are the same conversation. We create a space where financial honesty doesn't feel like judgment — it feels like relief.

"What would change if the numbers stopped feeling like a verdict?"

Step 03

Cleanse

The Pattern

This is the hardest part and the most important one. We bring the patterns into the light. Overgiving. Undercharging. Spending to feel safe. Saving out of fear instead of faith. Perfectionism dressed up as discipline. These aren't character flaws. They're survival strategies that have run past their expiration date. We identify them. Then we interrupt them.

"Which pattern are you most tired of explaining away?"

Step 04

Uncover

The Identity

You've been performing a version of success that someone else defined. First-gen success often means proving something to someone who may not even be watching anymore. Here we release the version that was built for survival and start building the version built for you. You get to decide what wealth means now. From the inside out.

"If no one was watching, what would you do differently with your money?"

Step 05

Nourish

The Vision

Healing isn't just about letting go. It's about building something worthy of what you're becoming. This is where we support the next version of you with real tools — emotional structure, financial clarity, and strategy that actually fits your life. Not a blueprint borrowed from someone else's journey. Yours.

"What does the version of you who has already healed this look like?"

Step 06

Anchor

In Legacy

This is what separates financial therapy from every other money conversation you've ever had. We don't just build wealth. We build wisdom. The kind that travels. You leave not just with better finances but with something to pass forward — boundaries, beliefs, and a relationship with money that your children won't have to unlearn.

"What do you want the people who come after you to inherit besides the money?"

What happens when someone names it.

These are real moments from real sessions. The kind that make you sit with it, and come back.

Not a financial planner

We don't manage portfolios or build you a budget spreadsheet.

Not a life coach

We don't do goal-setting sessions and vision boards.

Financial therapy

The emotional and psychological work underneath every money decision you've ever made, and why you keep making the same ones.

"

She asked me my revenue target. I said 5K. She looked at me and asked, a week or a day. Straight face. I meant a month. In that moment I knew I was in the right place. She named exactly what I had been running from. So I stopped running.

"

I told her I wanted to feel safe spending money, not just make more of it. She didn't flinch. She said that was the most honest thing a client had told her in months. I'm a W2 earner. I don't have a business. I just needed someone who understood why making good money still felt like not enough.

The Process

Simple steps. Deep work.

We meet virtually. No pressure, no pitch. Just a real conversation to see if we're the right fit for each other. This work requires trust on both sides.

02

We Find the Gap

Together we identify what's sitting between where you are and what's actually possible. Not your strategy. The pattern underneath your strategy.

03

We Do the Work

Session by session, pattern by pattern. Financial therapy isn't a one-time fix, it's a practice. That's why continued biweekly care is how real shifts happen.

Not quite love at first sight, and that's the point.

This work is intimate. The kind where you say things out loud you've never said to anyone. That means we both need to feel it before we commit.

Your first step is a consultation, a no-pressure conversation where we get honest about where you are, where you want to go, and whether we're genuinely the right fit for this journey together.

Think of it like a first date. You like me, I like you, then we go all in. It's 15 minutes, it's free, and there's no pitch waiting at the end.

Continued care is recommended biweekly at minimum. More frequent sessions are available and advised for those in active pattern work.

She was the first. That's why she gets it.

Raven-Symone Simon was the first in her family to become a CPA. The first to earn six figures. The first to run multiple businesses while leading in corporate America. She knows exactly what it costs to be the one who made it, because she paid that price herself.

After 15+ years in the financial world, she stopped just building wealth and started healing it. Because she kept seeing the same thing. High achievers who had the numbers right and the peace completely wrong.

A financial planner can organize your money. But they can't tell you why you keep sabotaging it.
+
A therapist can help you process your emotions. But they can't sit in your actual numbers with you.
=
Raven works at the intersection of both. The money and the meaning behind it. In the same session.

Without this work, you keep earning more and feeling less. You keep hitting milestones that don't stick. You keep being the strong one until you run out of strength.

Common Questions

Everything you were about to Google.

Yes, and then some. Financial therapy is a specialized field that sits at the intersection of financial planning and therapeutic practice. There was no blueprint for this when I started. So I built one. I hold a Certified Financial Therapist (CFT) certification, am a licensed CPA with 15+ years in finance, and maintain ongoing continuing education in both fields. Nothing like this existed. So I built it. For you, for me, for us.

Both, and we are very excited about both. All sessions are currently virtual, which means you can do this work in your car, your office, your favorite chair, wherever you feel most like yourself. And because we know outside is open, our flagship in-person office is coming soon to Atlanta, GA. A real space, designed for this work, where showing up in person will actually give you a reason to get dressed. Stay close.

Absolutely not. Most of our clients are doing well on paper. They have the income, the career, the business, and still feel like something is off. You don't need to be broke to benefit from this work. You just need to be honest that the numbers alone haven't fixed how you feel about money. That's enough.

A coach gives you a plan. Financial therapy asks why you haven't followed the plan you already know. We go underneath the strategy. Into the beliefs, patterns, and emotional histories that drive every financial decision you make. Coaching helps you set goals. Financial therapy helps you figure out why you keep undermining them.

We talk, but not the way you expect. There's no worksheet, no lecture, no judgment. I ask questions that get to what's actually going on. Sometimes we look at numbers. Sometimes we don't touch numbers at all. Every session follows your lead and the LACUNA Method™, a framework built to locate the gap, name the pattern, and move you toward financial and emotional peace. Most clients leave a session with something they didn't have words for before.

We are actively exploring FSA and HSA eligibility pathways in Georgia and will update this as those options become available. Insurance is not currently accepted. If you have questions about payment options before booking, reach out before your consultation and we'll work through it together.

Because one session won't do what you came here for. Financial patterns took years, sometimes generations, to form. One conversation can name it. Consistent work changes it. Biweekly sessions create the continuity needed for real pattern interruption. You can always do more. But two sessions a month is the minimum we believe in enough to offer.

Then we say so, and that's okay. The consultation exists for exactly this reason. No pressure, no awkwardness. If it's not the right fit, we'll tell you honestly and where possible, point you toward someone who is. This work only works when the trust is real. We would rather lose the booking than start something that isn't built on that.
